I have an iPhone 5s that dose not turn on I’m not sure what’s wrong with it and wanted to know if I can use parts from an iCloud locked iPhone 5s. Better yet could I swap the logic boards around for the same results?

For the iPhone 5s, only the logic board is iCloud locked, meaning screen, battery, charging port, cameras, and nearly everything else could be switched over and work fine. Also keep in mind that the home button is locked to the logic board and will still work, however lose touch ID, if relocated into another device.
Just give it a go and see if the device turns on with the replacement parts and if it’s locked or not.

Thanks mate I’ve order a iPhone with a locked logic board I’ll post an update on the results when I change them over

It might give you the same result if the issue is not the logic board. The battery could be dead or maybe even the screen as well. Check if the battery is dead first I would say, The output voltage for a 5s battery is 3.8 volts I believe.

How would I check the output first? I’ll be honest I’ve never done anything like this before
@jamierhey Oh sorry lol. So if the phone has just been sitting around for a long time (I am assuming it is because it is an old phone) then the battery could have died and that is what's preventing the phone from turning on. A way to check that is by opening the phone, unplugging the battery, then using a voltmeter or multimeter to check if the voltage output is correct. And if it is then the problem is elsewhere (Screen, logic board, etc). It is kind of difficult to descride how to perform this through comments, so I suggest you watch this video https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...

@csam15 I don’t have a multimeter I’ve found a iPhone that’s iCloud locked and was just planning to swap the logic boards if there’s a problem with the logic board on mine then it’s not worth the replacement
But can I do that with the phone being iCloud locked do you know if the parts are unusable due to the lock
Yes, all the other parts are usable no matter what board you connect them to. It is possible that the home button was programmed to that specific board so you might lose touch ID, but that's all. Sorry for confusing you, I misunderstood your question.

Alright so the replacement phone came today bearing in mind this is the first time I’ve ever attempted to repair a phone here’s what happened.
I opened up my phone and like an amateur I didn’t keep track of the screws luckily I found out this was vital before opening the other phone.
After taking both logic board out I swapped them around and biting my nails tested the phone success it worked.
unfortunately as you two both mentioned Touch ID won’t work and you are both correct.
I’ve been testing the phone for the last hour everything is working (aside from Touch ID) and the most disappointing thing out of all of it is the battery in the phone doesn’t hold a charge.
If I’m being honest it was stressful enough doing the logic board swap I don’t feel like fighting with the battery adhesive now haha
