Is there a Nokia N9 tear-down/repair guide?

Has anyone from iFixit done one, or is anyone planning to?

Thanks!

I've started the guide page. Nothing there yet.

If the White N9 ever bloody becomes available for order in Australia.

I will compare it with the Black 64GB, & then buy one of the two.

I will then proceed with a tear-down, if I'm feeling brave! ;)

Jed Samson, why would you not take the service manual as a guide. The fine people at Nokia obviously have done the teardown. It is available right here. Hope this helps.

Yeah I know about the manual, but thanks...

I was hoping someone had attempted a full tear-down after following the manual.

And then shared a slightly more slick/comprehensive explanation here.

The iFixit community always devises one very quickly for the iPhone.

I wish there was much more love for less prominent phones :(

I guess part of the problem with that would be that there are just to many phones. Someone will have to purchase those and then tear them apart.

How come iFixit never has a problem obtaining the latest iPhone for tear-down?

As I understand it, they don't rely on end-users, the co. buys one themselves.

it's a popularity thing..if it's interesting to take something apart to more people then it more likely will be done. If the N9 doesn't really have any new bells and whistles there are not going to be many people jumping up and down with curiosity for a teardown on release day. The hype surrounding the iPhone 4S made it a real "scoop" that ifixit was the first to tear it apart. btw, this site is run by non ifixit staff- if you want to see a teardown how about you go ahead and do it and then publish it.. "it's the repair manual anyone can edit"

Yeah that was done by LE55ONS, he'd been planning to do one for ages.

Nudged him the other day & as luck would have it, he was about to start it!

Hmm, I wonder if we can convince him to create an official guide here!?
