Replaced the hooks, but now have no microphone working.

There was a problem with my ear hooks and using YOUTUBE I replaced the ear hooks and thought all was working fine.

I received a phone call and could not be heard by the other person on the call when I spoke. I have no idea what to do next so am seeking a repair person or do-it-yourself instructions.
