Screen has separated from back. Never dropped.

I have an old normally functioning 6s+. Sits on my office desk as an iPod. Without any notable incidents, the left side of the screen has separated from the back. Is it an easy fix?

The screen is glued to a plastic frame which is then clipped into the frame.

I’m assuming the glue came undone, but if you could post a picture it would be helpfull to tell.

Profesionally speaking, the screen should be replaced if the glue is done, but you could apply a small amount of grazy glue as well and hold the screen in place while it dries. It should hold for a while.

Less is more in this case, only place a very small amount so you don’t glues things that are not suposed to be glued togerther.

I hope this helps

Hello

Even with loose adhesive the display should not lift from the frame very much.

What will make the display raise significantly from the frame would be battery expanding.

The battery is on the left side of the phone (when looking at the screen) and will push the display out when it begins to expand.

Please seek battery replacement as lithium batteries can be risky when they become puffed up or damaged.

If you’re lucky the screen shall be re-used and you can reapply adhesive for the frame.

Best of luck!

james
