Touchscreen not working IC error 0xFFFFFFFF

Hi,

My iPod Nano 6th Generation was Water damaged. I took it a part, cleaned it with alcohol (Isopropyl) and the Ipod is working again. But the Touchscreen won´t work, i installed the Touchscreen on another Ipod and it´s working.

I started the touch panel error check on the Ipod it says IC error reported: 0xFFFFFFFF.

It would be great, if someone could help me with that.

I wonder if it comes from the IC itself, not your screen. Make sure that you clean the connector really well and have no corrosion, debris in it. the error is diagnosed by Apple as "water damage".

Hi,

The Touchscreen is working, I tested the Touchscreen on another Ipod nano 6G and it is working like a charme. Only on my Ipod nano 6G it is not working?

clean the connector on the nano is what oldturkey means..sometimes cleaning once isn't enough..
