What can be wrong/broken with DP and DVI of my monitors?

I have three Samsung SE24E650XW monitors https://www.samsung.com/de/monitors/busi... (manufactured June 2015). I always used them via their DPs. One ist still working but over time two of them started to malfunction one after the other with flickering and switching the signal on/off in arbitrary periods. The final status of the two is the following now:

| Monitor | Connection | Recognized by Win10 _____ | Effect

| 1 _____ | DP → DVI _ | Yes _____________________ | Flicker or signal on/off for appx. 30–60 sec then black
| _______ | DP → DP __ | Mostly yes, sometimes not | Black from the beginning

| 2 _____ | DP → DVI _ | Yes _____________________ | OK for appx. 1 min then black; identical after every power off/on
| _______ | DP → DP __ | Yes _____________________ | the same as immediately above

When connected via DP and the signal goes on/off I here a switch clicking inside.

This happens with two different laptops with two different (Windows) OSs. I tried different DP → DP cables already (including a completely new not-so-cheap one from an electronics store). To no avail. I didn't try another DP → DVI cable, but that was intended to be just a workaround anyway.

Are there chances that this can be repaired with home tools (including multimeter for U, I, R and soldering iron)? But which part(s) to exchange to give it a try?
