I spilled coffee on my iPod, the battery would not charge. I replaced the battery and it still won't charge. The charge icon is on but the battery won't take the charge.

Amanda DeLessio, you did well by replacing the battery. The only other important thing that you should do, is to clean your iPod thoroughly. Use this guide and make sure you clean the logic board well. Check all the connections from the dock connector for any debris. Once you have it cleaned re-evaluate your ipod for connectivity to your computer. It is possible that you have accidentally shortcircuited the logic board.
