No touchbar after reinstalling the screen

I recently replace my macbook’s screen with the one ordered from AliExpress. Everything was working fine(even the touchbar) but the screen had some issues, so I tried to reinstall the screen again, and then suddenly the touchbar was not working. I tried resetting SMC, NVRAM, and reinstalling the OS with no luck. I even updated the firmware using Apple Configurator 2.

However, when I open System Information, I can see that the Touchbar is recognized by the system. Also, all the options related to touchbar are now disappeared from the Keyboard Settings menu.

Is there anything else that I can try?

My guess is that the touchbar connector or the motherboard near the touchbar connector was damaged during install or removal of the screen. It is very common for the screen hinge to damage that area when removing the screen. Inspect this area of the motherboard and observe for damage to the board or connector. Try reconnecting the touchbar as well.

I did check for damages but couldn't find any. I have attached an image of this area of the motherboard. Can please you have a look at it?

@htshah There is damage on the motherboard. White spot right under the touchbar flex connector right at the edge of the board. It might look insignificant but it's enough damage to take out the touchbar. Repairing it will require some serious micro soldering skills to repair the trace on the motherboard. First check that the problem isn't just a software issue. This video might be helpful:

Thank you for sharing the youtube link. However, there is no ControlStrip or TouchBarSever process running in the system. Is there any other thing that I can try?

I have also added an image of the touchbar connector. Can you have a look at it as well?

Thank you!

@htshah Ok so it must be a hardware problem. In the new picture it looks like the motherboard connector is ok. Can you provide a close up picture of the connector on the motherboard and also the connector on the touchbar? I have a feeling that its the actual touchbar is damaged at the connector. louis Rossmann has a video explaining this problem you should watch it.

I have uploaded the closeup images for both the connectors.

Do you have any idea how much will it cost me to replace the connector as shown in the video?

I am suffering from similar symptoms.

Is there anywhere else to check other than the flat cable?

The keyboard doesn't light up and the touch bar doesn't work either.

When I start it up, it always says "cannot update due to problems" and I can't proceed from there.
