If I’m not mistaken, the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number are assigned to mobile cellphones. Your tablet, if it isn’t a cellular device, won’t have an IMEI number. You can find related info in settings and status tabs whether in your cellphone or tablet. My Galaxy Tab S2 tablet doesn’t have an IMEI number. If you are trying to use your tablet to connect to cellular systems, you can try setting your mobile phone as a personal wifi hotspot, manually enabling it under the connections menu. My older Samsung phone provides a mobile wifi hotspot address, when enabled, that must be manually selected from the wifi list in my tablet before my tablet can connect to the mobile internet system as long as there’s cell coverage. Once connected to my mobile phone, I must enter the mobile hotspot password into my tablet (to prevent unauthorized use of my phone for wifi by anyone without the pw) that allows connection to internet services via my mobile phone.
