Furby was a popular electronic robotic toy resembling a hamster/owl-like creature which went through a period of being a "must-have" toy following its launch in the holiday season of 1998, with continual sales until 2000. Furbies sold 1.8 million units in 1998, 14 million units in 1999, and altogether in its three years of original production, Furbies sold over 40 million units.

I could not start up my Furby toy

Wonder if there's any repair shop that can fix up a Furby toy in Singapore?

What can I DIY my own repair of a Furby that will not start up?

what's the battery bay like? corroded terminals?

The Battery terminals are in good condition. I did opened up the toy and found that the wirings connection are still in good contacts with the terminals. I have no access to the circuit board cos it like stuck inside it's head area.

Do you know What year/model it is? For instance the original 98/99's have that 1big board that ya its tricky to get at allright, then theres the 2012 and boom, and theyve ever got atleast 5 that ive found....

I take apart my kids toys all the time to put legs in sockets, reconnect speakers..don't be put off by circuit boards being in the head.
