Can I use the touch screen on antother device?

I have a surface book 1 that recently died, screen battery is now completly dead and wouldnt let me deteach, now I have detached it using the paperclip method the device has stopped working once reatacched. I got it to power on for 2 mins after letting it completly drain the keyboard battery, but now it wont wake at all.

What I want to know is if anyone has sucessfully removed the screen and used it as a screen for another devicce (i.e. rasperry pi) idealy my plan for this device was to wall mount it for a smart home console, but now it wont power on I can even do that. Having it act as a screen for another device is an option I am looking at.
