No light on charger, no battery available, powers on
Hello,
I am working on a 2014 MacBook Air and I have a situation where:
- No lights are coming on charger
- Hold power, starts up, chimes, shows apple logo and powers off
- Disconnect battery, hold power button, fan comes on full speed and laptop boots up.
- Re-connect battery while on, indicates 'no battery available'.
- Reset SMC, no change.
I am thinking the I/O board is bad and/or battery but shouldn't the light on the charger come on regardless of the battery status? Any help here would be appreciated.

Hi
How does the logic-board look
Keep an eye out for any corrosion/damage and also have you tried a new battery?
Thanks:-)

I was looking for corrosion but couldn't find anything. I am going to try a new battery to see if that resolves the issue. Thank you!
