Are the logic boards in the MacBook Air 2GB/4GB A1370 indentical?

I have 2 Macbook Airs A1370 2011 models. One is the 2GB model and the other is the 4GB model. The 4GB model has a smashed screen and no SSD so I wanted to know could I replace the logic board in my 2GB model with the logic board from the 4GB. (I know it still works)

I wanted to do this so to upgrade my RAM to 4GB. Should it be just a straight swap? I can't imagine any of the other non logic board components being different between the 2 models.

If anyone knows could they please let me know?

Thanks in advance.

Both the 2011 A1370 models use the same upper case and have the same LVDS\video cable. You can swap logic boards between the 2.

Thanks for the reply folks, so literally the only difference is the amount of RAM on board?

I am not aware of any differences on the logic board other than the amount of RAM. The LCDs may be of different versions. The video cable is the same. The heat sink is the same. You will need to clean off the old thermal compound off the chips and heat sink. Then apply a new fresh very thin coat of new thermal compound, I recommend Arctic Silver 5. Insofar as exchanging motherboards goes, it will be a straight out swap - if the information about years, etc... is accurate.
