reinstall the sensor bracket
How do you reinstall the bracket at the top of the XS where I think the camera lens goes? I believe it is the first step of the reassembly. It does not pop in.

Okay, first off, what kind of repair are you doing on the phone? The only reason I can think of for needing to mess with the camera/sensor array bracket on the screen is if it somehow came off during a screen replacement. Is this the part you're talking about?
If so, it's held on with adhesive, so you'll need to put some glue on it to secure it in place before you reassemble the phone. It's important to have it in order to align the front sensors so they work correctly and in concert.
Normally that part comes already preattached to replacement screens, so in theory you shouldn't have to mess with it at all even if you are replacing the display.
