Rpm goes up & down then car shuts down
While driving rpm gauge goes up, car engine accelerates then rpm drops to zero and car shuts down

Hi Delvina,
I have a 1999 VW New Beetle that was giving me very similar symptoms. The problem turned out to be a bad Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. I feel silly that it took me so long to figure it out, since I was getting a trouble code that indicated a problem with the MAF. To be fair, though, the car had a ton of DTCs when I got it and it took me quite a while to work through all of them.
Anyway, it's odd that something as catastrophic as the engine shutting down isn't presenting any trouble codes. Be that as it may, you can see if the MAF is causing your problems by simply unplugging it. In the absence of an airflow sensor, the car will default to a predetermined set of parameters that will still allow the car to run fine, just not quite as efficiently as it would with the sensor.
If the problem goes away with the MAF unplugged, then you've found your culprit.
Give that a try and let us know what happens.

So I had replaced the cam shaft sensor as well as a crank shaft sensor. So far it hasn’t given me any issues, but I have not driven it for 50miles

Could be a number of things that can cause this problem.
Get the vehicle's ODBII port scanned for any codes.
They will tell you what the problem is.
Larger retail auto parts chain stores e.g. AutoZone in the USA, will do this for free apparently.

Recently has a new cam shift and crank shift sensor replaced. As well as new battery, tune up, fuel injector cleaning. No codes
