Does it make a difference if the battery and starter is on opposite si

I went to get a starter at pick and pull and the car was exactly like mine but battery and starter was on passenger side of the car and mine is on driver side does that make a difference?

Hi Librada,

It might make a difference; your Honda came with either a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder engine, and it's quite likely the two different engines use different starters.

If you post the year and engine size of your Accord, we can try and look up the specifics of whether the two engines use the same starter or not.

UPDATE:

The only explanation I can come up with for what you're seeing is that the one you're looking at in the Pick 'n' Pull is a four cylinder while yours is a six. Here's a 2.4L from 1998 to 2002, showing the battery on the passenger side.

While a picture of another 2002 with a V6 like yours shows the battery on the driver's side like this.

Assuming that's what's going on, then it's a no go on the starter. The 4 cylinder takes a starter that looks like this.
