I replaced a busted lcd & digitizer on an a1318 iPod touch 3g last night... Everything was working beautifully! Left it to charge overnight, and when I got up this morning, it will not power on nor does the computer make a 'connected' sound when plugging in the usb cable. Tried a hard reset to no avail. Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hey Rob,
It sounds like one of the connectors probably wasn't connected all the way and came loose while you were using it. Try opening the device back up and checking all of the connections, especially the one that connects to the dock connector ribbon cable.

Thanks for your reply! Tapped it on my knee a couple times & it started working again... Opened it back up (since the tapping isn't a permanent fix) and discovered a broken solder point on the battery connection... Works fine now after fixing the broken contact. Thanks again for your help!
