Which is bad, battery or charger
My "greenworks pro" 60 volt lithium battery is not taking a charge, but I I don't know if I need a new battery, or a new charger. Do you know any way to determine this?

@tvz62367 Do you have a charger number? You could use an ammeter and put it in between your charger and your battery and see how many amps it draws. You can do some basic test with your multimeter. Check something like this It tests the same way for your battery as well. Let us know what you find out.

I tested the voltage that the charger is putting out. It's much lower than a similar charger (different brand) that I have. I have ordered a new one. Thnx to all for the suggestions!

try a new charger first
has the charger been exposed to water or is it frayed/ripped anywhere?

Thnx, timtom. I'm trying to figure this out without having to buy one (that I might not need, if mine is good) to try. Those chargers are kind of expensive...

No, not apparent physical damage to the charger, and no exposure to water that i know of.
