Hi Zuhair,

What do you mean by "not working"? Are you talking about the touch screen not registering touches, or the OLED not showing images?

Pictures would help; if it's a display problem let's see what it looks like and if it's a digitizer issue then use a drawing program to scribble all over the screen so we can see where touch isn't registering.

Are said spots black? Or simply not responsive to touch?

Here's my suggested process:

Clean the display with a microfiber cloth.

Apply one or two drops of 90% isopropyl alcohol directly to the cloth then wipe the entire display and dry with a different section of the cloth.

Test again.

Close all open apps.

Next reboot the device several times.

Ensure your battery health % found in

Settings > battery > battery Health and charging

Is over 80% anything under 80% can cause the iPhone not to function properly.

Inspect the display for psychical damage.

If the display appears good as new but doesn't take touch in a few places or the entire display and displays an image over the entire display.

It could need it's fpc flex cables re-seated.

If you wish to try a hardware repair like this I suggest following a good guide to the tee.

For a reseat on the display connectors pause on removing the display from the phone and follow the directions in reverse.

@zuhairhussein Okay, that's what we needed to know; if it's the touchscreen not working then pictures probably won't help anyway. The iFixit site doesn't allow for pictures within comments anyway, so if you want to add them you usually edit your question to add them.

Adding images to an existing question - iFixit Repair Guide

Anyway, you should try the things @adr_daniel suggested, but my personal opinion is that you're going to need a new screen. Unfortunately modern phones all have the digitizer or touch screen bonded to the display so it's not feasible to just replace one or the other; you'll need to replace the entire display assembly. Here are the instructions you'll need to do the job yourself.

iPhone XS Screen Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide

You can support iFixit's repair efforts by purchasing your screen directly from them; you'll get a high quality screen with a lifetime warranty if you do. Otherwise, they're readily available on sites like Amazon, eBay and AliExpress. The original screen is called a soft OLED but you can also get cheaper replacements called a hard OLED, which is printed on glass rather than flexible plastic so it doesn't go completely to the edge of the front glass and may be a little thicker. The cheapest option is to get an LCD replacement, but it'll be thicker and will use more power since it has to drive a backlight. Prices have come down sufficiently that the soft OLED displays are now affordable.
