Ghost touch after battery replacement! Why

Hi everyone, so i am currently having ghost touch problems on my iPhone XS after i replaced the battery. The iPhone clicks, drags, opens and closes apps on its own, writes and calls autonomously: it’s becoming unusable. Also i noticed that there is a vertical line where touch doesn’t work at all (I tried painting the whole screen using the Notes app to find out). But now every inch of the touch screen is unstabl

The screen is perfectly fine, there are no scratches and cracks and also it has not been replaced at all it is the original screen.the screen is separating from the metal body but it has been like this for several months.

The battery isn’t swollen.

Do you have any idea?

Disconnect all the connections, battery first then reconnect the display connections ensuring they click into place. Make sure the larger one is flat. Then reconnect the battery and try it before closing the phone. If that doesn't work then you could of pulled a ribbon and damaged it.

Thank you for answering. I tried that but unfortunately it didn’t work. apparently the connections look intact… is there a way i can be sure the motherboard is intact? Or should i buy a new screen?

@nkbyii3b6wwd8qd Personally I'd buy a new screen. Removing the new screens can damage them if not opened correctly which I think is what has happened.
