What happened? Is the Display flex cable damaged connecting LCD?

Hey guys and TIA for advice, my daughters 2019 mac 2.4 emc3358 was being used and she let her phone slip of her lap which slid along the keys and its corner bumped the edge panel, one inch to the left of where it says MacBook Pro. I am under the impression the LHS of the display flex cable would be in this area. It immediately lost screen image and it refuses to come back on. Apple said it was a sensitive area and want a lot to replace whole lcd screen assembly. Is it a hard fix?

I would guess that when the phone was dropped it had caused the ribbon cable to loose or come out. Should be an easy fix by seeing if the ribbon cable is misaligned or completely out of the socket. Try following this guide (Remplacement de l'écran du MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar 2019) and in the process, check if there are any broken/disconnected cables. If a cable has simply disconnected, plug it back in. If a cable has broken, well..... you'll need a new display assembly.

Thank you.

I will order the new lcd assembly. Can I ask why it’s not showing up on a seperate monitor? Also does apple not stop third party fixes with this T2 chip, I mean I thought it was designed to stop me swapping a new display assembly? Thanks again
