Ipad Pro 11 Face ID, Ambient Light Sensor Re-attaching. Screen change

Hello, I had to change my first Ipad Pro 11 1st Gen screen today.

I cant believe how little information i could find on reattaching the ambient light sensors and face id flex.
Ive only seen a few videos where people just slap on some b7000 and hold them in place with fingers...
Seems just about imposible to not get glue between the sensor and glass. I tried with some other glue and just made a mess

I ended up using some kapton tape in a pinch.. :$

There must be a better way??
