Ice maker in door does not dump the ice, but works if we manually

Hello. We have an LG refrigerator model LFXS26973. The ice in top left door fills with water and makes the ice however it does not dump the ice in order to make more ice. If we remove the ice bucket and push the button manually, the tray moves and dumps the ice and fills with water. I cannot figure out what is wrong why the tray won't dump automatically but does work when we "activate" the feature. Help! Only purchased two years ago. TIA

Options

There could be many reasons for this, including jammed ice buckets, inadequate water pressure, ice on water lines, defective auger motors and clogged water filters.
