Needing to hardwire power supply into machine

My dog chewed the connector off that goes into the back of my machine. I need to hardwire the power supply into the machine as I am limited on time and cannot wait for a new power supply. Can you please tell me which color in the power supply goes to which color inside the machine? The power supply has 3 lines. Black, white and bare. The machine has 3 wires. Black, white and red. I do not want to assume to match black to black, white to white and red to bare as the configuration may change within the connection at the back of the machine. This will only be a temporary repair until a new power supply is delivered then will be soldered and heat shrink back to its near original condition. Please help if possible as this is very time sensitive. Thank you.
