White screen due but controls work

So this device has a white screen, but all other functionality works, including haptics and touch. The only thing not white is an extremely faded internet, service, and battery symbol. It is suspected that the damage is due to steam. What part may be causing this and possible solutions? Also have tried reconnecting display-ports and battery and nothing occurs. Previously the screen was just black with everything working. Is it possible to fix this without replacing anything?
