How to permanently fix/stop Microsoft Edge tabs from enlarging?

Sometime during this summer, I have had issues with Microsoft Edge (have not checked with other browsers) where the browser works as intended with an extended monitor and all the tabs (and grouped tabs) are the normal size. However, once I unplug my laptop from the extended monitor, all my tabs and grouped tabs in every Microsoft Edge window (I have a couple of windows open with many many tabs and grouped tabs for research/notes/work) become enlarged that not all the tabs show which is a problem for me especially when I take my laptop everywhere I go. But once I plug my extended monitor back in, the tabs and grouped tabs go back to their normal size.

I have restarted my laptop a few times and each time after the restart and opening Microsoft Edge, the issue is "resolved" where the tabs and grouped tabs are the normal size but once plugging and unplugging the external monitor, the tabs and grouped tabs are enlarged once again.

Is anyone else having this weird issue too? Does anyone know how to permanently fix this? Has Microsoft encountered this issue and said anything?
