- Check the fuse. The fuse box is usually on the far right side of the dashboard. Use the diagram on the back of the cover to find the fuse number. If the fuse is faulty, the metal strip inside will be broken. You can use a test light or multimeter to confirm if the fuse is blown. If the fuse is blown, you should replace it with the same type.
- If the fuse is in good condition, the most likely cause is a faulty switch or a wiring issue.
- If the test light doesn't light up, there's no power at the dome light. This could be due to a relay or a fuse.
- The most common cause of this problem is when someone other than the driver uses the dome light or dimmer switch.
