I damaged the uv glue in my screen Vivo 1906

Vivo 1906

When I removed my cracked screen protector on my phone while I'm cleaning it I accidentally damage the uv glue I don't know if it's safe to remove the uv glue and if my phone will function properly without uv glue.

But I already put the new screen protector on my phone with the air like thing on the bottom please help ASAP

@joseph62418 how did you damage the UV glue? What glue on which part?

Joseph, when you say you removed the screen protector, do you mean the outer glass that the LCD is bonded to? As in doing a glass only screen replacement?

If that's the case, then a normal part of doing a glass replacement is indeed to clean off all the old OCA glue (Optically Clear Adhesive). So yes, it is safe to remove the old glue; in fact if you're replacing the glass you have to. You then spread a new layer of OCA glue on the screen and place the new glass down on it. It generally needs to cure, usually by exposure to ultraviolet light.

You may have to explain a little more about the part where you mention the "air like thing". I don't know what you're referring to; perhaps a picture showing what you're talking about would help.

@joseph62418 this does not look like UV glue damage. The UV glue is in between the sandwiched display panel. It is what connects the glass, digitizer and LCD display. There should normally be no chance that you damaged that by replacing the screen protector. Looking at your picture, it appears that the screen protector already shows wear/cracks on the bottom left side. I suggest that you remove the projector and clean the outside of the display with some isopropyl alcohol and check for any damage to the outside glass of your display. If there is none, replace the screen protector. You would not use UV glue to replace the screen protector.

If, and only if (I doubt it), you really damaged the display, you will need to replace the display. For that use something like this video
