Is it ok if my PS4 fan got submerged underwater?

  • I recently teardown my console and I try to brush the fan getting rid of all the dust above a water bucket, and then it slip and got submerged underwater only for a second. Immediately I use a hair dryer on max heat to dry the water inside. Will it be ok?

Is the whole console or just the fan got submerged?

@ariqzaqawali if it was just the fan, get some +90% Isopropyl Alcohol. Submerge the whole fan it that. Let it sit for a few minutes. Then remove it from the alcohol and either let it drip-dry or use some low airflow to remove all of the liquid. Most of these fans are brushless so there is not much chance of water getting trapped in the fan.

Isopropyl alcohol in the higher concentration will displace the water. I prefer the highest concentration I can get for this type of task
