Identifying a near-CPU component in a 2019 MacBook air

I have a 2019 MacBook air brought into a local repair shop, who quoted over $1000 to fix it. The problem is apparently this component which has fallen off the motherboard- I brought it to a friend who is an electronics expert, and could not get it to flow, nor identify it. I was wondering if anyone here knows what this component (labeled "R47") could be? Attached are several images of the board, and it is a model A1932 13" MacBook Air.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like the component failed and left its pads attached to the logic board. That's why it wasn't able to be soldered back on. Once a replacement is sourced, somebody skilled in electronics rework should be able to clean up the mounting pads on the logic board, and solder the new part on. @oldturkey03 's answer about sourcing parts should point you in the right direction.

I'm a bit worried that the attempt to reattach the old part damaged adjacent components on the board. Once you've sourced a replacement part, I would try to find a different local shop specializing in rework, and have them clean up the board / install the new part.

It was probably me who may have damaged the board. I tried to resolder it first, which was a *mistake*. How does one find these local shops? Most of them seem to be certified apple resellers, i can't find many that aren't certified apple dealers and thus probably wary of doing this for me.

Hard to say depending on where you live. Reddit could be a decent source. Another place to look would be small companies that do electronics / circuit board assembly, as they sometimes employ technicians who can do work like this.

@gxhut that is reference designator L7290 which is a 0.47UH-20%-8.5A-0.035OHM inductor in a MHCI03020 package.

Sometimes those packages are hard to match but you can measure from solder pad to solder pad to find one that will fit. MY favorite suppliers are Digikey and Mouser and I am sure that those are in stock. Of course, you can purchase from wherever you can find it.
