Sony w800D 43 inch

Update (01/26/24)

Vertical lines only at bottom. Which changes according to the image. Like if there is no colour for example if it is black then you can't see the lines.

Funny thing is that when i removed everything then put everything back the tv is not working. Not even standby light is on.

I had discussed this problem like a year ago with you. But that time red light was blinking 5 times. But it fixed after replacing it with new tcon board.

But now after many tries the tv turns on sometimes but backlight was not turning on. And today somehow it turned on with black light. Now it showing red , green , blue in screen like for few seconds each colour comes and goes. But when I looked now it horizontal lines. Not the lines it used to be . I will attach the photos. Most probably the panel will be the problem i think but even though it's panel fault is there any way to fix like try to fix so that I can bring back to normal, even though it's a difficult procedure.

I saw a YouTube video of a person fix a tv which have kinda same problem, he used multimeter to check voltage in not the bottom board that I have sent the picture of but side board i thing something like gate drive and then he used a long wire with resistor then he checked by connecting side board and bottom board and when he find the correct one the screen becomes normal. Then he told to connect both side and bottom board (that point) using a jumper wire. The video is not clear and I'm a beginner in this kind of stuff.

I will also provide the link.

The video is in Hindi language ( A language In India) but I don't speak it because we talk different languages but i understand it not completely but most of it.

@sreeramsnair hard to see because of the reflection on the screen. This could be a mainboard as well as a panel issue. what make and exact model is your TV?

@sreeramsnair it is hard to say but are the vertical lines going all the way down on the screen, or just half way? If it is just half way, then the issue is on your panel. Most likely failed components on the driver boards.

@sreeramsnair that is a failed Gate driver. Those are commonly found on either the driver boards or on the side of the panel. Take some good look at teh panel. The boards where the T-con board connects too. They are connected to the panel through some very thing ribbon cables. They are not removable.

Once you have to back panel removed. Take some pictures of what teh back of your TV looks like. That way we can possibly identify your driver boards.

par

@sreeramsnair yes, that is the driver board. Your TV has one or two of those boards? BTW those colors looks like your panel is doing a self test.

par

My tv has two of those board one in right and one in left.
