earbuds not charging in case

My jabra earbuds have suddenly started to not hold a charge.

They were aupposed to be charged by the case, but this not happens, even with the charger connected to the wall.

They only charge to some 20% and then stop. Which ia like 30 mins of use.

When I put them in the case a led should flash according with a color according to how much charge is left (red green yellow), this doesn't happen.

As well, the external led on the case should indicate the charge left in the case, it only flashes green.

(Only purple, when I tried changing the system language to make a firmware update, which did not solve the problem)

I tried resetting the buds, resetting the charger, changing the charger cable and checking voltage, all was suggested by jabra support.

Do you have any other suggestion, other than replacing the charger?

Thanks,

This is most likely because the ear buds are not charging when put in the case caused by a disconnection somewhere. It could be inside of the buds themselves but are more likely because of the case.

The buds needs to be pushed down onto the charging pins which have been an issue for my pair before for others if the magnets which hold the bud in place are giving up or if there is a build up of grease or ear wax which prevents them.

Jabra explain how you best clean you in ears and a youtube video shows a fix to counter the faulting magnets using some tissue paper.

Thank you for your reply Sebastian, I am trying right now the suggestion in the video.

I have also noticed that sometimes the buds appear charged at 50-70% (never 100% though). most of the times is 30-35%.

In any case, the lack of the two coloured led light on the charger, where it should indicated the charge left in the buds and in the charger, points to a fault in the charger, as you suggest. If this doesn't work I will go on to replaced the charger.

Thank you,
