my airpods pro2 case wont hold charge. it shows its charging when connected to a charger. but once disconnected its dead. It also wont connect the pods with my phone anymore.
It started after not using it for a while couse of a slight misplacement of 1 of my pods... before it was just fine.
i know you can replace them. but is it worth it, and what battery does it need?

Opening the AirPods Pro case is going to be nearly impossible; according to this takedown: https://www.ifixit.com/News/66194/apples...
It sounds like the battery came physically disconnected from the case's main board.
So, replacing the battery, or even opening up the case, is not recommended. You can try to reset the AirPods first. (With the case plugged in, press and hold the back button for fifteen seconds, or until the LED flashes amber)
But, I would say it is worth it to go ahead and get a new case from Apple, because the AirPods are useless without the case. Plus, Apple just released the third generation of AirPods Pro (AirPods Pro 2nd Generation, USB-C). And this new case will work fine with your AirPods. AirPods Pro Case (USB-C)

ive seen a vid where it was really easy, but idk if i can post other links here.
yeah, a new case is one option, but my insurance is gonna take a look at it first.
@rvdleij - You should be able to copy the link from YouTube (or wherever you saw the video) and put it here.
But, if you feel like it's possible to fix this (and are willing to lose the case), then go for it! No one is stopping you from opening up the case and checking it out. I have never opened up AirPods before, so I don't even know what it's like.
