The iPod Seventh Generation, marketed and sold as the "iPod Classic", was released in September 2009, and did not have any visible differences compared to the previous version. It simply replaced the previous 120GB iPod Classic 6.5 with a thin 160GB version.

@chrisball52606 the only way to replace it, is by doing a whole lot of very fine soldering. You must remove the logic board from the iPod and you need a replacement connector from places like this and many others. Different iPod same solution. Check on here. Any good microsolderer can do this repair.
