Why won’t the pods work but the reusable filter does?

Coffee brewed with the reusable filter but not with the K cups … machine would start but then the “ K “ start button would start flashing again. Is it something with the k cup. I cleaned the poky parts and ran the water through just fine. But not with a pod in…?H
