Sections of the MSI Optix MAG274Qmonitor go dim shortly after startup.

Moments after startup, the sides of the screen go dim, almost completely dark. When I reset the monitor from the OSD it goes back to normal before going dim again. Usually, the middle section is bright but sometimes the middle section is dim while the sides are bright.

I have tried using different cables and resetting the PC, updating drivers and bios, and unplugging the monitor and PC. Is this repairable?

Options

@yusufnemr that is a failed backlight strip. Some of the LED's on the backlight strip are failing and are turning off. Time to replace the strip. The issue here is that there are no guides for this. You will have to post lots of good pictures of your monitor so we can try and assist you with the teardown.

what sort of pictures? and could following the guide for another monitor suffice?

@yusufnemr pictures of the case do we can see how to split it. It either comes of by removing the front bezel or by removing a back cover. Once it is open you will have to actually disassemble the display to get to the backlight strip. Looking at the way it failed it appears your monitor is edgelit.
