iPhone battery doesn't charge after replacement

Hello,

Just received and installed an iPhone battery and dock connector from eBay in my old iPhone 3Gs.

My old battery was drained way too fast and the dock connector had bad contacts, it was a real nightmare to make my iPhone charge.

After replacing the dock and battery, everything worked fine, the battery was pre-charged @ 50%, and uncharged very slowly compared to the old one, which was just what I wanted.

I started playing games & surfing in 3G to drain the battery, at 20% I connected the iPhone to my wall charger. It was detected and I taught the battery was charging, but it wasn't.

After a hour, the battery was now at 19% and I noticed the logo in the bar above was indicating the iPhone is connected, but not charging!

Could this problem be resolved by just replacing the battery again, or is it a more severe problem? It's my only smartphone, and it's really not the moment for me to buy a new one ...

Options

Louis, replace your new battery with the old one and see how it charges. IF it charges better than the new one, you know to get your new battery refunded. Should there be no difference in rate of charge, it is your dock connector. Double check your repair and you may have to replace it again. Hope this helps, good luck.

when you say "a little", what is your definition of a little :-) it might, but give it a try anyway for as long as the battery is not punctured, it should be save.

I'm so happy, the old battery still works!!

So it's definitely battery related, I'm asking a refund right now.

Solution Iphone 4 batter slow charge SOLUTION

Just go to settings > reset > 'reset all settings'

This is the solution to get the Iphone back to normal (quick) charging!! 100% worked for me after anoying 2 weeks of figuring out WHY it charged sooo slow! You won't lose data/contacts. Only WiFi passwords and some basic settings, but this is not a big deal compare to the slow charge problem! Success!!
