How should I go about replacing a ram slot?

Got a Rog Strix X570-i and I was told that the CPU fan was not installed correctly and the heat pipes pressed against the ram card in the slot, causing it to bend. On the surface it looks okay but the mobo won't get past DRAM in post. Any ideas how to go about testing if this is the problem or any ideas/resources for replacing the slot? I'm decent with soldering but I've never worked on a PC motherboard before.

If the RAM slot is bent the traces on the motherboard are probably damaged and are probably unfixable as modern circuit boards are multi-layered.

Perhaps the RAM itself was damaged. Do you have one or two RAM modules? If two, try each one separately in both slots to see if the post will go past the RAM check.

I had a friend of mine test my RAM modules. Both work. I have a feeling the traces would be damaged but I wanted to test them to make sure they were before getting rid of the board.

Hi @jerequimpo, Replacing the M'brd is probably the correct decision but just for interest sake, if you are curious, try putting something non-conductive on the underside of the main board, such as rubber feet, etc., to gently push it up slightly. This may reconnect the traces sufficiently for the circuit. I did this once for a gamer's system, where the user had pressed the RAM in too forcefully breaking traces, and it worked!
