My Nintendo switch screen is black also I can hear sound on it but I also think that there is no backlight if there is no backlight will the screen not look like it is on

Hi Jaiden,
If it is indeed the backlight there will still be a picture but it won't be visible under normal lighting. If you take a flashlight and put it up to the screen at an angle you should be able to see something on the screen.
Do you have a dock? If the TV screen works when docked, then yeah, you're almost certainly looking at a display replacement.
So check those things out then come on back and let us know what you found.
