Battery Replacement, restoring error 29
I replaced the battery in my old iPhone 4s, but when trying to restore through iTunes, it gives me error 29 and everything I’ve researched indicates that it’s the battery replacement that it doesn’t like. The previous battery was completely dead. The phone wouldn’t even boot. How do we resolve this issue?
Edit: Battery was purchased from ifixit.

Hi David,
Full disclosure here, I don't work for iFixit but I am a volunteer moderator.
That being said, my first suggestion would be to contact the iFixit Store personnel. Their batteries are warranted for a year and they fixed me right up when I had an issue with an Apple Watch battery. Best way I'm aware of is to email them at support@ifixit.com. Explain the issue and ask what your next step should be.
