Why wont my PowerBook G4 15" Boot up?

Hi there! I recently got a PowerBook G4 15" 1.25GHz Laptop and it wont bot up! I've tried resetting ALL things, tried a different HDD, Bought another charger, and it still wont boot. All you can hear is the HDD spinning. And the charger does charge and the battery does hold a charge. And when I hear the HDD spinning, I can press the Caps lock key and it'll show the green light. What can I do? Is it ab bad DC-in board?

Do you get a white screen, or a black screen? Do you hear a tone when you reset the PMU?

Test your RAM slots -- power on with one slot empty, and if that doesn't help, power on with the other slot empty. A lot of these machines have a failing slot, and when the bad slot is populated, the machine will have a black screen and show only minimal signs of life.

It shows a black screen. And I've tried the RAM swap thing, and it didn't work. Thanks for the comment!

Connect to an external monitor... you may have a video display (LCD cable, inverter, other hardware issue). At boot the screen should flash and show the EFI start sequence, since it's not, and you don't hear a chime - it could be either the logic board or display. Attaching an external display can eliminate logic board as sources of issues.

Thanks for the answer! I sadly done have a good DVI cord, or have a monitor that'll take the even older video plug. And the computer does not chime. Just hear the whirring of the HDD. But I am going to be doing a Logic Board swap this following week. I'll get back to you on how it goes.
