Confusion about the far outside part of the display.

Hello,

you say there is no glass in front of the LCD but that the LCD is the glass. This is confusion to me, as I'm not too much of a technical guy.

Could you specify what I get? Do one still have a glass where the panel was like "glued" to or do I just have something like a membrane (like in TVs)?

I'm asking because I'm worried about how to clean it, once I should buy it. Can I still just use glass cleaner and paper towels (kitchen rolls) like with the previous MBPs or do I have to use special LCD cleaning foam?

Thanks in advance.

NEVER use glass/window cleaner on optics! Use eyeglass cleaner, anti-static screen cleaner - even a damp cloth with Ivory soap, followed by a clean damp then clean dry cloth... nothing harsh, it will eat the coating off the display. Also do not spray the cleaner on the screen, wet a cloth and use it.

That may be true on normal Screens, but Macbooks always had a simple glass in front of their screens, where it was okay to use glass cleaner on.

Most glass cleaner use ammonia which is not good for any screen coatings. There are a few with out Ammonia such as SprayWay.
