My acer laptop showing a blank screen with blinking cursor?

I have an acer laptop Aspire 5738z notebook. It is working fine the last night, as soon as opened it in the morning it is just showing a blank screen with a blinking cursor.

What i tried...............

1) Tried restarting the pc by removing the battery for few minutes.

2) Tried different OS's With xp it is showing 0x00000007b Stop error and it is not taking windows 7 at all. With ubuntu it loaded till the main screen as soon as i selected the "install now" it is not doing anything..

3) tried Alt + F8 and it say's Recovery boot failed! Press any key to continue...

Please help

Options

bandla, take a look at this. The stop error can occur because of a bad BIOS, a bad boot sector, Device driver issues, resource conflict between the boot controller and another controller and a few more things. Try to narrow it down by following the above link. Hope this helps, good luck.
