How do I clean out my fan and exhaust grill?

Texte:

so my toshiba satellite keeps getting hot (Really hot) from a few hours of use

i havent cleaned out my laptop in a few years or so, i found this tutorial wherein i can clean the fan and the heating grill with a brush, but my question is. do i have to reapply thermal paste if i take apart the cooling system?

and if not is there a safer way to do it other than taking apart my entire PC just to remove dust bunnies from the fan and or the exhaust grill?
