Can I replace a shoddy 6630M with a 6750M?

Texte:

Picked up one of these guys with a shoddy GPU on ebay for very little money to help out a friend who needs to learn an Apple program for a new job he’s trying to get. Every Apple product I’ve owned from the year 2011 with a dedicated GPU has issues with the dedicated GPU. I can easily do the ol’ reflow/reball and get it going again. Just annoying.

This Mac Mini is packing a 6630M. I can pick up a 6750M chip for like $30. They both pack the same architecture, so I assume some grounds for compatibility there. I have been trying to find a side-by-side comparison of both of these chips on the pad side and some dimensions so I can checkout if they’ll physically fit, but I have failed to find this.

I was wondering if anyone here has information regarding these two chips or experience with a modification like this.

If this is complete madness, just let me know now lol.
