+it sees my network but windows cannot connect to it

Texte:

Hi, I have a really old HP Compaq nx6110 and got me a wifi card from e-bay. the intel 2200bg which seems to work because it sees my network but windows cannot connect to it and says it might be out of range and I should refresh the network list and try to connect again…

I did all of that and also found the right driver which installed well.

the laptop is my boss´s who I “repaired it for”… why can I not connect to my home network?

the card seems to be fine because I can see the peers and I also have enabled it in bios… I am still running win XP on it.

please help. if you need any further information you can contact me via mail: mod at phat dot hu

thank you

Martin
