Hi @gregoryvenezia I think that the make and model number of your motherboard is Compal LA-B111p. This information should be printed on the motherboard somewhere. If this is correct then the faulty component (designated ''PL701'' on the board) is an inductor, part number HCB2012KF-121T50_0805. The HCB2012KF-121T50 is the part number and the 0805 is the smd package size of the component If you search online using the part number only, you will find suppliers but most only supply in multiples of 50 units or more. + + === UPDATE 10 23 2023 === + Hi @gregoryvenezia + + Just to verify that it is the designated PL701component, here's an image from the schematic. + + Use an Ohmmeter to check for continuity from PU701 pin 8 to one side of PL 701, as can be seen on the schematic (arrowed) + + If it isn't then, as a lot of the components around PU701 aren't designated, you may have to find out which component it is by using the schematic + + Try checking for continuity from each of the pins on PU701 and see which pin connects to the pad where the burnt out component was (is?) + + [image|3109445] (click on image)

Hi @gregoryvenezia
I think that the make and model number of your motherboard is Compal LA-B111p. This information should be printed on the motherboard somewhere.
If this is correct then the faulty component (designated ''PL701'' on the board) is a ferrite bead or inductor, part number HCB2012KF-121T50_0805.
The first HCB2012KF-121T50 is the part number and the 0805 is the size (smd package)
If you search online using the part number only, you will find suppliers but most only supply in multiples of 50 units or more.
