According to this [link|https://www.memorystock.com/memory/ToshibaSatelliteA65S126.html|supplier] the laptop has 256MB of non removable memory and one memory slot catering for up to [link|https://www.amazon.com/333MHz-PC2700-Samsung-Laptops-Notebooks/dp/B09W5GRWNM/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=pc2700+sodimm&qid=1690880496&sr=8-2|1GB x PC2700 memory] (supplier example only) for a maximum of 1.25GB memory.
The non removable memory is just memory ICs that you see on removable memory modules except that they're soldered directly onto the motherboard.
-There are a few modern laptops where all the memory and the storage drive (eMMC) is soldered to the board so there's no option to increase the amount of memory or storage if you want to, i.e. no removable memory slots at all and storage is soldered to the motherboard as well. Something to check if looking for a new laptop.
