Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace the battery for the Hamilton-C3 Ventilator. There are multiple alarms and indicators that the ventilator uses to signal that its battery is either low or dead. Some of these alarms are identified in the Hamilton-C3 troubleshooting page.

The lithium battery provided by Hamilton Medical is 10.8 V, 6.7 Ah, 72 Wh, and 50 W typical. The typical lifetime of the ventilator without external power running on one battery is about 3.5 hours, and for two batteries 7.5 hours.

For more information on replacing the battery, please refer to page 202 in the operator’s manual.

  1. Connect the ventilator to an external power source. There is a two-prong cable that can be connected to a port on the backside of the ventilator.
