Introduction
This guide will help you replace the batteries of your Tribit X Sound Go speaker.
Note: There might be a swollen battery or battery acid, please use caution.
Ce dont vous avez besoin
-
-
Insert a spudger in the seam between the front speaker grill and chassis.
-
Pry around the perimeter until the front grill releases.
-
Remove the front grill.
-
-
-
-
Gently pull the batteries out of the speaker.
Oh so what comes next? Does the other end have a connector that can be removed or is it soldered to the PCB? I assume the battery is an 18650 but I can't be 100% certain because there is no image showing the battery specs so I have to tear it down and then order a battery instead of having one that I can just swap in. Actually can the battery just be swapped out or is there soldering involved or do you need to purchase a battery with the connectors already spot welded it?
You did so well but failed to finish the tutorial off.

Same here. What is the replacement battery number?
I am having difficulty finding a replacement battery with the same configuration as what is shown and in my device. I am going to try reaching out to the company’s customer service and see what they have to say.
After disassembling and seeing unusual batteries, I DID contact the company. Here’s the response: “Kindly note that the built-in battery of our speaker is composed of several lithium batteries in series and parallel, we do not recommend disassembly it. We also do not sell separate batteries.”
So my question is - why the detailed and intricate instructions for a dead end that wasn’t even suggested where you mention in the Introduction, “This guide will help you replace the batteries …”
Tinkerer beware.
